Sorry just okay to disappointing

After a good relaxing lunch here (I simply stumbled into not knowing it was a gay haven at night), I came back for a late dinner. My lunch (good wings and decent salad) waiter, Hayden, was excellent - friendly, attentive, good recommendations and he actually sat down and explained a bit about gay Atlanta. Later that night I tried some of his recs and then headed back for the wonderful patio and dinner. The wings tasted like they had been recooked from lunch and the burger was just okay with a stale bun that was too big for the meat. Worse part was the offensive music bingo DJ who - 1) found a cell phone and noted it was all in Spanish so the owner must work across the street on the construction site or be part of the kitchen staff. Later he used the word "reneg" as in "renegotiating" but threw in "come on, that's not a racial slur, it's a legal term." He was the only one thinking in racial terms, I think, and when he referred to rednecks it sounded more like him. Totally unprofessional, not funny and seemed to place gay people right up there with racists, bigots, and America's finest closed minds - THUS disappointing.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

MY PARTNER AND I MOVED HERE 3 YRS AGO. WHEN WERE LOOKING FOR A HOME,WE STAYED WITH FRIENDS.THEY TOOK US TO JOE'S THAT WKND AND IT HAS BEEN OUR FAVORITE PLACE SINCE. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD TIME AND EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY. IT IS NOT UNUSUAL TO ALL OF A SUDDEN HAVE SEVERAL PEOPLE INVOLVED IN MULTIPLE CONVERSATIONS INVOLVING ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. IT IS A VERY COMFORTABLE AND WARM ATMOSPHERE WHERE YOU CAN GATHER WITH FRIENDS AND EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE SHOUT OUT TO TONY, THE BEST BARTENDER IN THE WORLD.

I loved this place.

I loved this place. Str8 type bar but totally GAY! YAY! Also great seating area outside. Food is good. Get the Salmon BLT if you get something. Also the Carrot Cake is really good.

A Must To Visit.

We stopped for a quick dinner our first evening in Atlanta. The wait staff was slow and seemed preoccupied with how they had each spent their day. But, when the food arrived, it made up for everything. A few days later, we stopped for lunch. This was a different group of waiters, and they were animated and engaging. Our waiter, Bryen realized we were new in town and sat down for a few minutes to share his thoughts about the city. A few days later, we made another visit for dinner and again were impressed by the staff and food that night. The outside dining was perfect for the warm weather. It has a neighborly, laid back feel that allowed us to relax and enjoy our meals. We will definitely go back!
