It was resurrected last year by the current David Atlanta, Brushstrokes, and Gayborhood to runaway acclaim, netting more than $2,700 for PALS and Jerusalem House.
Needles’ slot on the Miss Originality judge panel is sure to generate plenty of electricity and tension, following an appearance last year at Jungle. The button-pushing performance artist arrived in Atlanta to a firestorm of controversy and protests from the city’s LGBT activists after having been accused of racist slurs and imagery in other performances across the country. The staunch Needles refused to issue a requested public apology, stoking the flames of controversy even more.
Tickets can be bought online or at Brushstokes or Jungle!
