Cameron Lee will unveil four new artworks from his galaxy-inspired collection, featuring portraits of influencers from Los Angeles, including @carissaalvarado & @mybelonging. The showcase will also include Cameron’s celebrated art show “Flores Fatales”. ---- PARKING Please park at parking structure at Westside Provisions (near Yeah! Burger) or at the lot near Warby Parker & JCT Kitchen – both are across the street. Please do not park at the Cooks & Soldiers valet parking. Though this parking is typically available to Revelator customers, we do not have access to the lot for this event, and we will get in trouble if guests park there. AFTERPARTY We have an official afterparty in partnership with our friends at Wussy Mag "Party for Princess! { a benefit show + dance party }" at My Sister's Room. The event will go 10pm to 3am. The event is a fundraiser for an amazing performer in our own community who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Five Atlanta-local, queer artists have been selected for SPECTRA (listed in alphabetical order): Jon Dean, LaRue Caillet, Savana Ogburn, Shanisia Person, and Taylor Alexander. Artists will earn 100% commission on their sales, and, thanks to sponsors, the event will not charge exhibiting artists. This is part of an important commitment to supporting artists and their businesses. Cameron Lee’s art series Flores Fatales, created in partnership with LA Fashion Week, originally opened in Los Angeles in March 2017. It received praise from major news outlets, including LA Confidential, The Hollywood 360, and The Santa Monica Observer. Inspired by the striking and wide-ranging beauty of flowers, Flores Fatales celebrates human beauty, natural wonder, and elements of dangerous allure. Rigel Gemini, producer of this event, is a social media influencer, blogger & creative curator. He launched his first Atlanta event, the Atlanta Queer Creatives Panel Discussion, in November 2017, at Industrious - Ponce City Market, which drew in a crowd of more than 50 audience members. Rigel has been mentioned in Fashion Radar “On Our Radar… 10 LA-based Menswear Influencers”, Out Magazine, HuffPost, AdWeek, and “The Ultimate List of LA Fashion Bloggers”. SPECTRA will take place at Revelator Coffee (691 14th St. NW, Atlanta) on Friday, March 23rd 8-11pm (free with RSVP: bit.ly/spectra2018). A VIP reception for press, influencers & art buyers will take place from 7-8pm. All art will be for sale, and major credit cards will be accepted.
