Atlanta's Best Kept Secret
I have to admit when I walked into Opus the first time I was taken aback. The place was small, dark, and not overly crowded. Not at all what I expected from the "Big City". However, it is all those things that make Opus so charming. The crowd there takes a while to warm up to you, but once they do, you are in for a multitude of fun adventures. Opus is more like an extended family that has fun, than a normal gay club. You will love it or hate it depending on your world view. Me I love the place, and if you are into fun times with fun people who really care, then you will love it too.
Where to go for a serious cheap drink!
The bartenders are super! The drinks are very strong and very cheap. Very small, place and your clothes will smell like hell from the smoke even if your there for 5 minutes.
Friday night lights
I don't know if they're still going on, But, fridays at midnight the lights go out and some of the clothes come off. Yes boys, its a blackout party on fridays lit only by 2 blacklights. The turn of phrase scrolling on the small marquis inside the bar says 'Get your engines started there, but take the real action home.'
If you fell off the AA wagon you would end up here
Lots of long term drinkers here. VERY small bar. Lots of couples go here.
