Tuesday Karaoke

We were visiting from out of town. Went on Tuesday night. The place was packed with guys of all ages, race, types and shapes. Very attractive crowd too. The Karaoke host was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and we ended making friends and going to another bar with them. Good job Blake's!

Fun place with nice guys

Went here on a Saturday night after 10:30 and it was packed. The crowd was loud and a bit rowdy but respectful. Had a good conversation with a nice guy. The drag show downstairs was in too small a space with too many people to really enjoy. I also went on a Wed night and it was much less busy, but still had a good time. I definitely recommend Blake's.

Turned out as a BAD EXPERIENCE

I always use this website to look for clubs/bars on the new cities I'm traveling to. This week (Aug 1st week) was Atlanta and I decided to go here at Blake's. You can find the location easily. When I entered it was dark, very loud and seems like people are really having fun watching the drag shows. Very nice experience at the start but after a couple of minutes as I walk and tour the 2 story club, the momentum went down. Nothing is really special in this club. The drinks are quite expensive and the bartender was very rude to me because I only gave 1 dollar tip for a 4 or 5 dollar beer. He told me I can't stand there at the bar table. Half of the drag queens who performed that night were great! The host was terrible. This bad experience should be blamed to her. I believe her name is Shawnna Brooks. She is the meanest, most arrogant, disrespectful drag host I've ever met. She gave a very mean comment to the guy who walked passed the stage (actually there's really no stage, it's a plain flat floor) to greet a friend and to purchase a drink. She called him fat, assh*le, cry baby and things like that. It was really embarrassing and insulting that half of the crowd sympathized to that guy. When Shawnna Brooks performed half of the crowd didn't pay attention. I walked out on the side so as not to show appreciation to her show and observed the people really hating her. She decided to stop at the middle of the song because no one wants her on the stage, no one's watching her. She deserved that treatment! I want to make several emails and post several comments about her because I want her to be fired in that bar very badly. She has no right to gave comments like that. I am not fat myself, in fact i'm muscular because I'm a varsity for 10 years but her remarks that night was really unfair and demeaning. She's not even beautiful. Her face looks like the as* of the guy whom she called "fat" assh*le. The first time Atlanta bar experience turned out to be like this. Very disappointing.

Cool Place

visited this place the friday night i arrive in Atlanta. Its not a bad place, however nothing really special, there were drag show going on, however i must say that drag queen needed some help. She could not dance to save her live. All in all its a cool place to check out and u can go on the top and look over and see who is coming and going. I will recommend it.

Never Again!

Not to mention parking, but most of the guys were just downright stuck on them selves. I have never been treated so badly by a bar tender in my like, I was the one saying,"Thank you", not the staff. Some one needs to remind the young guys that not everybody is into young, some of us like REAL men, not stuck-up attitudes.
