Missing serious house grooves
My signif & I have visited TRAXX a couple of times while in the city only to be gravely disappointed. Pure house-heads are seriously over looked and neglected today. House music is not dead. We've traveled to other major cities where the house beat lives in dance clubs. It seems that in the ATL, the African American community has unfortunately lost it's feelin for the house beats. It's so sad because there is nothing like it. Other than gospel, only house music can take the boys to that place, that oneness, that unified feeling on the dance floor. It's a total connection to the brothers & the beat. It IS truly all about the dance & the house beat. We miss this when we visit TRAXX. TRAXX should seriously do whatever to bring this back as the dominant beat. House music guides us.
Love it.....
I have always enjoyed this club from time to time. Just like others it has it's nights !! Great place for the young n dumb......n even better for those that like to party !!
this place is big as all hell
Great place to party when your in the city... Can be kind of cliquey but hey what gay club isn't. Over priced but one of the reasons i love atlanta is the variety of clubs catered to the black gay male. This one is no exception. i still have memories of the OLD traxx and it's thugged out tuesdays... good lawd :)
the most funI
I was in awe to see all the people lined up to get in. I went through the VIP line. Questioned the $20, but once I handed the guy my ticket and this other guy shook my hand and said, 'Welcome to Traxx', I was sort of dazed. I went in this big space and stood in a stare at the light show. Everyone was dancing, drinking and seemed to be having a great time. I went on to have the time of my life. The music was great, the people was great, and the staff was very friendly. The bathrooms and kitchen needs some work, but each saturday night I know where to go to have a fabulous time with the other 2000 plus people. Thank you Traxx for provided a wonderful energetic party.
