They know where their money comes from and they treat you like a Queen. (pardon the pun). The wait staff is half Gay half Older straight woman. They only do Dinner Monday Thur Friday. But lunch is served on the weekends. If you get in before 6pm you can do the Early Bird menu this can save some money. On aveage it cost about $15 to $20 for each person. VERY Good for this part of town.

I love this place. I try to go onice a month if I can. The food great and the staff is wonderfully. Just watch out what you get the barteener. Gaven a 20 and got change back from a 10. Going here tonight for my Brithday.

Going to the Colonnade is for me like Sunday Dinner at my hometown's only cafe in the 50's and early 60's. The food is wonderful and the wait staff very profesional. My only complaint is that I get to visit it too seldom.

This place is an Atlanta classic. The experience is surreal. You're surrounded by gays and grandparents. Everyone loves the down home cooking, sweetest tea in town and a colorful wait staff. It's Morrison's Cafeteria meets P-town.

Since 1927 The Colonnade has been an Atlanta dining landmark, attracting a raft of regulars. A mixed crowd of everyone from grannies to gourmets gathers for strong drinks and some of the region's best fried chicken and yeast rolls, the latter a rapidly disappearing Southern treat. The low-slung, no-frills building has been expanded in bits and pieces, but the atmosphere is really provided by the veteran waitresses and quirky crowd. Besides the fried chicken, come for the salmon patties, the trout, the bone-in ham steak, the oyster stew, and the pies, especially the coconut cream. On Sunday, come whenever the spirit moves you after noon, as service is all day.
