Authorities in the Russian Republic of Chechnya have unleashed a campaign of terror— kidnapping, torturing and killing gay men. In the past few weeks more than 100 gay men have either disappeared or been confirmed dead. This has happened before, we can’t let it happen again.
Russia must bring an end to this pogrom and protect the rights and dignity of its LGBTQ citizens—not just in Chechnya, but throughout the Russian Federation.
We are calling on everyone—members of the LGBTQ communities, allies, those who see history repeating itself and can’t look away—to bring a candle and join us for a candle light vigil at 8pm in front of TEN Atlanta (990 Piedmont Ave, Atlanta GA 30309). Stand with us and tell the Russian government that the world is watching.
Let us join other cities around the world in solidarity:
