About the comedians…
Mia Jackson is a bonafide Georgia peach (that's Georgian for “native”) and a self-proclaimed know-it-all. All her life she wondered what would happen if she took her humor to the stage. So that’s exactly what she did! After graduating from the University of Georgia she hit the local comedy scene and has thrilled audiences since day one. She has appeared on Oxygen, TLC, NickMom's Night Out and was recently a featured semi-finalist on Season 9 of NBC's Last Comic Standing in 2015. Mia will leave you howling.
Ian Aber is a comedian, writer and show producer based out of Atlanta. He's been a featured performer and host at The Atlanta Improv and Laughing Skull Lounge and accepted into the Orlando Indie Fest Comedy Festival, Scruffy City Comedy Festival and Hell Yes Fest. In 2015, Ian was recently a finalist in NBC’s Stand UP For Diversity talent infusion program and will be a part of NBC’s NACA tour in 2016. His comedic style highlights the absurd in even the most serious of subject matter. "He's seriously funny," whispered the person you trust the most.
Hank Denson is an Atlanta based comedian that has been making a name for himself on the comedy circuit for the past 10 years. He’s a friend to your favorite comedian, having opened up for Jamie Foxx, Cedric the Entertainer, Amy Schumer and Rodney Perry. Hank appeared in Barbershop 3 and has a role in the upcoming Tupac biopic, All Eyes on Me. It was a random yet honest moment, however, that led to Denson becoming an Internet sensation. After volunteering as a chaperone during his son’s field trip, a mentally tortured Denson recorded an amusing commentary about his day at the Georgia Aquarium with a group of six-year-old kids. His summation: Pay teachers more money! After receiving 5.8 million views and counting for his #payteachersmoremoney movement, Denson hit the road performing for teachers. He’s got jokes by the pound - and he can't find a scale.
Shelby Hofer is a writer, producer, actress and comedian. She is the Co-director of Atlanta’s PushPush Film & Theater and has appeared on screens and stages locally, nationally and internationally. She’s received numerous awards including one of the Top 50 Shows of the Decade and a Best Actress award from Creative Loafing. She has performed stand up all over Atlanta and beyond, including Laughing Skull, The Punchline, Hair of The Dog Comedy Brunch, Monkey Pants in Phoenix, AZ and most recently in New York at Eastville Comedy Club and The Gotham. She can’t promise to keep it clean.
Your host, Hayley Ellman, is a comedian based out of Atlanta. She performs and hosts all over town and has been writing and performing stand up since she was a teenager. She was inspired to start writing and performing after watching the likes of Bill Cosby, Woody Allen, and other talented perverts; she still hasn't figured out how to tell people who her biggest influences are anymore. She charms audiences with a balance of sincere and silly, and the Atlanta Journal Constitution referred to her as "cerebral and sardonic." President of Funny or Die, Mike Farrah named her a young, comedic talent to watch in Intern Sushi's Infuencer Contest. Hayley A. Ellman is the funniest person in the world with that name.
