NARK (Mr Intl, Get Up Records, Bottom Forty)
Founder of Nark Magazine, and the record label, party and mix series known as Bottom Forty, Nark (aka Kevin Kauer) is devoted to dance music and club culture. Bouncing from city to city with a smile and a bag of tricks, Nark is repeatedly paired in the booth with some of dance music's greatest tastemakers such as The Black Madonna, Daniel Avery, Jacques Renault, Matrixxman, Red Axes, Tim Sweeney, Bicep and many more. Nark has been seen playing records around the states and in Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Berlin, London, Paris and more, so he knows how to say "excuse me" and ask for water in several languages and can be calmed into a paralytic state simply by being pet.
Nark currently resides at The Eagle in Seattle throwing a kaleidoscope of events most famously Dickslap, a party that started as a political movement, an event that Thump/Vice Magazine says saved Seattle nightlife, and has since turned into a traveling party and internationally recognized brand, as well as running Bottom Forty, a Seattle collective of DJs, record label, podcast and occasional event. Nark also curates an annual alternative pride festival weekend in Seattle which attracts thousands and raises money for the LGBTQ community of Seattle. In the past Nark was the first resident and creative director of Q Nightclub in Seattle, working the countries 7th best soundsystem every Saturday night, and has been showcased by Decibel Festival, Honey Soundsystem, Flammable, Honcho, Beta Nightclub, Pride parties everywhere and many other above and underground events and festivals. He is attributed to perpetuating the Gay Techno Underground by Resident Advisor and was named by Advocate Magazine as one of the top people to watch in 2015 and his story and work has been accredited for raising the nightlife bar in Seattle by Seattle Weekly and other publications.
