A Roof Over Our Head - The Struggle To Secure Safe Housing For Trans and Gender Nonconforming Atlantans

Presenters: Jamie Roberts and Tracee McDaniel from Trans Housing Atlanta Project A recent national survey revealed that 1 in 5 of all trans and gender non-conforming individuals have experienced homelessness, and most of them experience violence and rejection in the process. Right now, in Atlanta, over two percent of all trans or gender non-conforming individuals are homeless. How can we, as members of the beloved community respond to this? That is the question we'll be discussing in this brief presentation followed by Q & A and town hall discussion.
