A Victorian Holiday at Oakland Cemetery

On Saturday, Dec. 5 from noon to 4 p.m., Historic Oakland Foundation hosts A Victorian Holiday at Oakland Cemetery, a unique seasonal celebration that is sure to become a beloved holiday tradition! Indulge in the seasonal spirit by enjoying holiday festivities at Oakland’s Bell Tower. Warm up with a cup of hot cocoa or wassail while listening to holiday carols. Settle down for a reading of The Night Before Christmas or join Oakland’s youngest visitors in learning the art of the Victorian ornament. Don’t forget to get a photo with jolly Saint Nick! All visitors will enjoy a 10 percent discount on holiday items in Oakland’s Visitors Center and Museum Shop. Hear the stories of Oakland’s magnificent structures on the Victorian Holiday Mausoleum Tour, led by a costumed docent. Mausoleum tour ticket holders will get an exclusive look inside some of Oakland Cemetery’s grand mausoleums, which will be decorated for the holidays and open to explore. While A Victorian Holiday at Oakland is free, spaces are limited for the mausoleum tour, which is available with advance ticketing only.
