Georgia Equality and the Georgia Log Cabin Republicans will be co-hosting a fundraiser to support the re-election of Brian Bates, the openly gay City Council Member for Doraville's 2nd District. Since his election in 2007, Brian has championed a number of causes. Brian has been a key driver behind the effort to professionalize city government and lower costs to taxpayers. He was also behind the unanimous vote by the City Council to adopt a gay and transgender-friendly non-discrimination ordinance.
