Jungle is back from the grave!

Jungle Club has gone through a couple of identity changes and is back! The bar is always filled with shirtless boys dancing and showing off their washboard abs and perky pecs on the stage and large dance cubes. The bar is huge and tended by shirtless, perfectly-toned muscle boys. There are also several jungle-themed rooms around the warehouse-sized dance floor where you can sit, chat, or make out if you just can't help yourself. The cover charge is a bit steep on some nights, but definitely worth it for the music, DJs, and dancing.

Not a wild mustang in sight

Once upon a time, there was Hoedowns, and everything was a-ok. Cowboys from all over the South would come there every weekend. Then some major drama happened (typical Atlanta) and we get this place? I'm still waiting for someone to do a country and western bar RIGHT (Remington's does, Hoedowns was close). Until then, take your chances at 3LC. At least they have hot bartenders.

Awesome space and Even more Awesome crowd

First to the person complaining about the Dolly night. I was there and I received nothing that said she WOULD BE there. I received emails saying she MIGHT be there. So read your emails more carefully and check the source. They never made a promise of her attending. Second I love the place. Saturday nights are fun. Nice to be around boys that are cute and not drugged out in this city. So sorry to the guy who does not pay attention

Don't Make Promises You Can't Keep!!!!

Been a regular here for 6 months now, and have never been so disgusted until now. There were 14 of us so excited to see what we were led to believe a special appearance with Dolly Parton after the concert. Received email the she would be there,but thankfully a few of my group found out that she wasn't coming. What a pathethic ploy to get people to come, Sooo not right! I will be making other choices about where i will spend my money. I felt soo bad for my friends that i convinced to come in town to see her and was let down. Shame on you for deceiving us!!

Gave this place 3 chances..Why would I pay to go here when there are plenty of other bars that have no cover. Space is nice, and what is up with a different crowd for each night of the week. You never know what you are coming to. The ladies here are boring. Where are the real women?

High-energy country on Saturdays

Brad stepped in when we felt lost after the closing of Hoes, with a bright, sparkling, new place to 2-step . The bar is huge, with places to go when you just want to talk. Great staff, terrific DJ, and the WONDERMOUS Mama Deb. If you're looking for a fun, high-energy, great place to spend a Saturday night...this is the place for you.

MY ONLY DISSAPPOINTMENT WHILE IN ATLANTA.

I was dragged out of BJ's, where I had fallen madly in lust with this HOT go go boy, Chris! To go to this HOT new Country % Western Bar (OK, maybe some nice eye candy at least, with some hot cowboys), THE WILD MUSTANG! It was after 9 PM, so was charged an $8 cover charge (which would have been much more well spent stuffing Chris's underwear). Only to find out that Friday's are Latino Night (OK,I love HOT Latino Men). But alas it was a fund raiser drag show (albiet some prettty high tech acts) but defnitely not what I was in the mood for. $3.50 for a cranberry & sour (no booze) is a little pricy too! I agree with the other reviewer, make up your mind! Enter at your own risk!

First it was a disco, then a country bar now a latin and country bar with drag and disco performers, sound's like Brad is taking advice from the same group that ruined Hoedown's. I'll stay with the 3LC. Hope you have every sucess as a disco. I won't be back.

GREAT PLACE FOR FUN AND DANCE

Ive gone to this club the last 2 Saturdays. Im not even a big fan of country music, and I couldnt 2-step to save my life, but this is a great place. Its amazing to see the gay and lesbian couples dance so closely, and they do dance. I cant wait to learn how to 2-step. It seems like a great middle ground to get to know someone. I do think the drinks are too small. All they have is short rocks glasses. Lots of cute cowboys and cowgirls of all ages. I find it a bit hard to meet new people there. They seem a little clickish and very protective of there country corner.

ignore the back and forth catfights

Just go there for yourself and you'll see that it blows the hoe out of the water. The space is bigger, the bartenders are friendlier (and not as skeevy as 3LC), there aren't any long pauses of dead air between the music while the DJ figures out what he's doing, but best of all, those high ceilings keep the smoke away! I certainly don't plan on going anywhere else.

Better suited for South Georgia

I'm sure I speak for many when I say that the last thing midtown Atlanta needs is another country/western gay bar. This place would be better suited for some rural suburb on the outskirts of the greater Atlanta metropolitan area or in south Georgia. Brad Williams really needs to find another line of work. Apparently opening and running successul gay bars for any meaningful period of time is not his forte! He has single-handedly created chaos out of the Atlanta gay scene (with help from Shirley Franklin and the city of Atlanta). Move over and let someone else provide what gay Atlanta needs!

Great space and a great place!

The Wild Mustang is such a breath of fresh air, both litterally and figuratively. While I loved Hoedowns, The Wild Mustang offers everything that Hoe's had, plus it's a much bigger and better space. The dance floor is bigger and there are several extra rooms for things like darts, the two pool tables and extra bars. There's more seating, including several couches and tables and even a raised seating area for people to get a great view of the dance floor. As far as the criticism of Brad for seizing the opportunity to fill a need by opening a country bar when Hoe's closed down...I call that a smart business decision. I don't see anything wrong with that. Bars are a business. As long as they concentrate on delivering what their customers want, which Brad seems keen to do, then more power to them. I've been over to the 3 Legged Cowboy and I honestly saw nothing there that would pull me away from The Wild Mustang. The Wild Mustang has everything plus some.

Wide Open Spaces!!!

I walked into the club and was blown away by how big it was... even though people were smoking in some areas, there wasn't any overwhelming smoke lingering in the air (unlike Hoedown's) . Even though the size is huge, there is still a personal feel to it and several areas to sit down and have a good conversation... Country has found a home, and it's here!

What people don't realize is that Brad at the time of the change from Jungle to the Mustang, was out of options of what clientel he was going to draw in. He was about to close his doors when Hoedowns had abruptly closed, so for your info., he did this only to save himself. He, at the time hated country music, and was buddies with Mr. Ben Elliott and his business partner Brad Eaton ( they are responsible for the closing of Hoedown's) who is there now assisting WM's operation. I am just sorry that they ruined Hoedowns' reputation. Yeah thanks Brad!!!

Great place for country

Thanks to Brad for making this a wonderful place for our community to continue to enjoy friendship, dance, and friendliness. The people make the place and I do believe we will stick together and make the Wild Mustang our new home of country. Other bars may open but will not see the crowd make a switch again. We are here to stay at the WM. We do not need to be back in the middle of lesbian drunkenness and fighting at the other place.

Goodbye Jungle! Hello Wild Mustang!

I never went to Jungle since I heard it was a typical drug infested gay bar with the attitude to go with it that rivaled the attitude at Blakes. Now that it has turned to a country bar, the crowd is friendly. The dance floor is HUGE, the bartenders and staff are nice, and when they have the mechanical bull out, it is a load of FUN! I am so happy that The Wild Mustang is here to stay!
