Atlanta Eagle, Atlanta's best-known leather bar, is famous for its cavernous dark rooms and shadowy corners. The DJ always spins great music for patrons on the small but lively dance floor. The crowd at the Eagle tends to be hard-core, so pretty boys and dolled-up drag queens don't really play here.
Insider Tip: For late-night cravings, the 24-hour Krispy Kreme donut and coffee shop is right across the street.
When you park your car (a mile away) you're greeted by transients and psychos. Then you go inside and you get... transients and psychos. Except these are wearing Dolce and Gabbana and drink mixed drinks. The only leather you'll see is either in the store in the basement, or the leather holsters the cops wear when they show up on the corner every 5 minutes to arrest a crack dealer. Didn't this place used to be a bear/leather bar? Still taking bets on how much longer this place can stay open before it collapses from disrepair.
Bears don't meet here any more.Heard they meet at the Amsterdam if you can belive that LOL. Guess one of the Trolls at the Amsterdam is into bears GROSS. And they have Go Go Dancers there on Thursday Night's so watch out knowing how the city of Atlanta is.
Didn't meet my expectations. Too bright, not many hot guys, a little um dull. Perhaps it was just a bad night. I dunno, but it missed the mark last week! At 11:30 they had a small crowd that didn't seem to know what to do. Dancers...at a leather bar? Interesting.
This place was SO MUCH FUN!! The first person we met was Alan the bartender. Since he didn't recongnize us as regulars, he immediately welcomed us and made us feel welcome! This is a place that is a must visit. If not for the atmosphere, but for the friendly staff, like Alan!
Thank you Atlanta Eagle for a great time!
